Post binder with three brass posts, each with publisher's pictorial glazed boards. 12"x16" collection of three mid-century Parisian fashion design and textile trade catalogs, Winter 1957-58 (complete): [2], 97, [1] (inc. 16 color fashion sketches), Winter 1958-59: [2], 80 [missing two leaves, pp. 61/62 and 67/68, unclear if they were originally bound without the leaves or removed at a later date] (inc. 12 color fashion sketches), Summer 1959 (complete): [4], 108 (inc. 16 color fashion sketches, 1 full page design illustration). Together, over 2,000 fabric swatches a variety of silks, cottons, wools, mohair, nylon, fibranne, rayon, Rhoda, herbal, crylor, lurex, viscose, imitation fur, and other blends. Light extremity wear to boards and slight wear and looseness along joints, though maintains integrity. Pages lightly foxed and spotted. Fashion sketches included in the sample books, likewise, focus on the "New Look" as described of Christian Dior's debut collection.
