2 volumes, 8.25" x 12.25" (each) volume 1: pp. [61] approximately 257 samples, volume 2: pp. [41] approximately 237 samples; all collected in a blue cloth case. This is a stunning collection of Japanese Meiji-era gold brocade textile samples, almost 500 samples in all. Textile swatches are bright and lively, measuring from 1" to full-page in size; brilliant golds and metallic throughout, silk bindings in the Japanese style. Very good; some samples exhibit wear or fray, signs of use as sample books.
