Shelton, Connecticut: The First Edition Library. 6" x 9" pp. [8], 439, [1]. Black and tan cloth boards in an illustrated black cover jacket. Includes a gray paper slipcase with pasted illustration. Boards are neat and crisp. Jacket has one small chip without loss at bottom edge of spine. Text is bright and clean. Slipcase has a few light scuffs at corners but is otherwise sound. Very good.
The story of a young Black man who faces disillusionment and persecution in his every day life, brought on by the racial inequalities of 20th century America. This disillusionment leads him on a number of journeys, culminating in an introspective look at his own true self.
